The Tourist is an 2011 Drama-Thriller film directed by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck and stars Golden Globe winner Johnny Depp and Academy Award winner Angelina Jolie. It is the remake of the French film Anthony Zimmer.

An American tourist (Depp) is used by a woman (Jolie) in an attempt to flush out a criminal with whom she once had an affair.

The film revolves around Frank, an American tourist visiting Italy to mend a broken heart. Elise is an extraordinary woman who deliberately crosses his path in order to mislead all those following her former lover. Against the breathtaking backdrop of Venice, Frank pursues a potential romance but soon finds himself the pursued as he and Elise are caught in a whirlwind of intrigue and danger.

The movie follows the series of manipulations, as characters realise that they are merely pieces being played by an unseen mastermind of the game.

Filming began in Paris with just Angelina Jolie, on 23 February 2010[1] and moved to Venice, with Johnny Depp, on March 1st.[2]

Chissà che sensazione avrà provato il "nostro"Christian De Sica quando nella notte veneziana ha messo le manette ai polsi di Johnny Depp. QUalche giorno fa invece la star hollywoodiana aveva addirittura buttato nelle acque del Canal Grande, Nino Frassica. Nino però non si è bagnato nemmeno un capello visto che nel canale è finita una controfigura. Non solo Hollywood quindi a Venezia sul set del film "The Tourist", ma anche una parata di attori di casa nostra: Neri Marcorè, Nino Frassica, Christian De Sica, Daniele Pecci e Alessio Boni.

Hier wird zum ersten Mal Alessio genannt; er ist ein Interpol-Sergente, also nicht einmal eine Rolle mit einem Namen.Den anderen Italienern wie Neri Macoré oder Raoul Bova geht es aber nicht besser, Hollywood ist halt schon eine eigene Klasse, aber nicht unbedingt besser.

Vi mostriamo tre clip tratte da The Tourist, il nuovo thriller che vede una coppia di assi del cinema Usa Angelina Jolie e Johnny Depp. Nella prima che potete vedere dopo il salto troviamo il nostro protagonista Frank incappuciato: a contornarlo sono dei tipi un po’ loschi (ci sono Daniele Pecci e Alessio Boni nella scena) che lo chiamano “Alexander”. Ovviamente è vittima di uno scambio di persona. Nella seconda invece Frank scopre perchè hanno tentato di ucciderlo…

Gestern war Weltpremiere von "The Tourist". Falls ihr euch fragt, ob Alessio auch dort war: nein, die italienischen Schauspieler waren nicht dabei.

Sul red carpet anche il co-protagonista Paul Bettany con la moglie Jennifer Connelly. Assente - ma c'era da aspettarselo - la fetta italiana del cast, comprendente Christian De Sica, Neri Marcorè, Alessio Boni, Raoul Bova, Daniele Pecci e Nino Frassica. Ma chissà che dopo la prima visione nella Grande Mela, non ce ne sia una in cantiere nella magica laguna di Venezia, dove si svolge la pellicola.

Jetzt geht es für unseren Oscar-Helden Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck (37, „Das Leben der Anderen“) um alles. In drei Tagen ist in Berlin die Europa-Premiere seines neuen Films „The Tourist“. In Amerika ist der Film bereits durchgefallen. Mit Pauken und Trompeten.

„Der einzige Sinn des Films scheint zu sein, Frau Jolie in vorteilhaften Posen zu zeigen“, schreibt die „New York Times“ und stellt Donnersmarck in eine Reihe mit europäischen Regisseuren, die von Hollywood „aufgefressen“ wurden.

Das Branchenblatt „Variety“ tut den Streifen als „Euro-Chic-Bagatelle“ ab, das „Wall Street Journal“ als „jämmerlich verpfuschte Romanze“.

Amerikas führender Filmkritiker Roger Ebert höhnt, Donnersmarck verschwende sein Talent und habe seinen Oscar bei den Dreharbeiten wohl „als Türstopper missbraucht“.

„The Tourist“ ist Donnersmarcks erster Film seit dem Stasi-Drama „Das Leben der Anderen“, der als Abschlussarbeit bei der Filmhochschule München begann und im Oscar-Triumph gipfelte.

Produzenten-Legende Arthur Cohn (6 Oscars), sieht das nicht so dramatisch: „Florian ist ein brillanter Filmemacher. Er hat sich ein Drehbuch aufdrängen lassen, statt seinen eigenen Stoffen zu vertrauen. Der Reiz, mit der Jolie und Johnny Depp zu drehen, war einfach zu verlockend. Er wird daraus lernen, eine Enttäuschung genügt.“

Deutschlandpremiere ist am 14.12.2010 im Cinestar am Potsdamer Platz in Berlin.
Am 15. ist Italienpremiere in Rom, mit Anwesenheit der it. Crew, also sollte auch Alessio dort sein; mal sehen, was die europäische Presse dann sagt.
